Nitish Rana Rajasthan Royals: Nitish Rana’s team has changed. He has been bought by Rajasthan Royals. Nitish sold for Rs 4.20 crore in IPL 2025 mega auction. His base price was Rs 1.50 crore. But Rana has suffered a huge loss in the mega auction. His salary has been halved. Earlier he was a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. But Kolkata had released him.
Nitish Rana was a part of Kolkata since 2018. Till 2021, his salary was Rs 3.40 crore. But after this it increased a lot. Nitish was getting Rs 8 crore as salary till 2024. This time in the mega auction he was sold for Rs 4.20 crore. Therefore, Nitish has suffered a lot in terms of salary.
Rajasthan spent money on Archer –
Along with Nitish Rana, Rajasthan Royals have also bought Wanindu Hasaranga and Kumar Karthikeya. Hasaranga was bought for Rs 5.25 crore. Whereas Karthik was sold at the base price of Rs 30 lakh. Rajasthan spent a lot of money on Joffra Archer. Archer was bought for Rs 12.50 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. Mahisha Theekshana got Rs 4.40 crore.
Rajasthan had retained these players –
Rajasthan had retained Sandeep Sharma, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Ryan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson. Sanju and Yashasvi have the highest salaries. Both of them will get Rs 18-18 crore. Samson is also the captain of the team and his performance has been excellent so far.
A lot of money was also spent on Tushar Deshpande –
Rajasthan has also bought fast bowler Tushar Deshpande. He has played for Chennai Super Kings. Tushar’s base price was Rs 1 crore. But the team bought him for Rs 6 crore. Tushar’s brilliant performance has been seen in domestic. Many players also remained unsold in the mega auction. Australian players Alex Carey, Josh English and Shrikar Bharat are included in this list. All three were not sold the first time.
