Rishabh Pant LSG IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Pant became the most expensive player in IPL history. Lucknow bought him for Rs 27 crore. Actually, Lucknow had placed the first bid on Rishabh Pant in the mega auction. After this Royal Challengers Bangalore also joined the race. RCB made the last bid of Rs 11 crore. After this the competition between Lucknow and Sunrisers Hyderabad started. Hyderabad made the last bid of Rs 20.50 crore. Lucknow increased the price by 25 lakh more and made a bid of Rs 20.75 crore. From here the game changed.
Lucknow Super Giants won –
After Lucknow bid, Delhi Capitals came into the game. He wanted to use RTM card after Rs 20.75 crore. But the Lucknow franchise did not stop here either. He made an offer of Rs 27 crore for Rishabh Pant. At this price, Delhi took a step back and Lucknow won. Lucknow bought Pant for Rs 27 crore. If Lucknow had not given such a price here, Pant could have gone to Delhi Capitals. If he had gone to Delhi, the salary could have been Rs 20.75 crore. However, the price could have changed further depending on the circumstances.
These teams did not bid on Rishabh Pant –
Many teams did not show interest in Rishabh Pant. Before the auction, there was talk that Chennai Super Kings could bid on Pant. But this did not happen. Along with Chennai, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians also did not show interest in Pant. These teams did not bid on Pant.
