IPL Player Auction 2025 Day 2: The mega auction for IPL 2025 is taking place in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia. The auction is to be held for two days (24 and 25 November). The first day has ended, in which the biggest bid was made for Rishabh Pant. Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for a price of Rs 27 crore. Now today i.e. on the second day (25th November) many superstar players will also get bids, due to which Rishabh Pant’s record can also be broken.
The mega auction started with Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer. Punjab Kings included Iyer in their team. Apart from this, big bids were made on many players also. Let us tell you that a total of 577 players were shortlisted for the mega auction, in which 72 players got bid on the first day. 24 foreign players were included in 72. On the first day, all the teams together spent Rs 467.95.
Among these players, Pant became the most expensive while England’s wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler became the most expensive foreign player. Butler was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 15.75. According to Indian time, the auction started at 3:30 pm and today i.e. on the second day also the auction will start at the same time. Today it will be interesting to see which player gets the biggest bid.
Bid may be more expensive than Pant on next day
After completion of the first day of the auction, a total of 132 slots are still left for the second day. An amount of Rs 173.55 crore is left with all the teams to fill these slots, due to which Pant’s record can also be broken. On the second day, RCB will take the field with the highest purse value of 30.65. Sunrisers Hyderabad has the lowest purse value (5.15 crores). In such a situation, only RCB can be expected to break Pant’s record and buy the most expensive player.
