According to Cricbuzz reports, the mega auction before IPL 2025 may take place in Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Earlier, Vienna, Singapore, Dubai and London were being considered as the auction venue, but now one of Saudi’s Riyadh and Jeddah can be finalized as the auction venue.
It was also mentioned in the report that the teams wanted the auction to be conducted in India, but BCCI had no option to conduct the auction in India. Now all the teams are waiting for the official seal of BCCI on the venue.
Regarding the date of the auction, it was told in the report that the auction can be held on 25th and 26th November. However, in the meantime, the first test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be being played between India and Australia. The first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is to be played from 22 to 26 November. In such a situation, there may be a change in the auction dates.
