IPL 2025 Mega Auction Date and Venue: Where will the mega auction of IPL 2025 take place? In this regard, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) now has the names of two cities in which the auction can be organised. Austria’s capital Vienna, Singapore, Dubai and London were being considered as the venues for the auction. But now according to the report of Cricbuzz, BCCI has decided to conduct the mega auction in Saudi Arabia. In such a situation, BCCI will now have to choose between Riyadh and Jeddah.
According to Cricbuzz, BCCI has sent some officials to Saudi Arabia, while some officials will leave for Saudi today i.e. on 21st October. IPL teams wanted the auction process to be conducted in India, but there was no option to conduct the auction in India. Now the team owners are waiting for BCCI to confirm the place and date of the auction, so that they can complete the travel related preparations.
IPL 2025 mega auction date
Till now many such claims had been made that the mega auction could happen in the month of November and now according to the new update a similar claim has come to the fore. November 25-26 are being seen as possible dates for the auction. BCCI may also hesitate regarding these dates because the first match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy is to be played in Perth between India and Australia from 22-26 November.
Since the broadcasting rights of India-Australia series and IPL 2025 mega auction are with the same company. In such a situation, the broadcaster may have to suffer huge losses due to the collision between auction and test match. If the dates of 25-26 November are confirmed then the auction process can be started in the evening.
