IPL 2025: Rinku Singh Rinku Singh plays for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL. He made his IPL debut in 2018 and since then he is a part of Kolkata. Now before IPL 2025, there is going to be a mega auction, before which teams can retain only limited players. In such a situation, Rinku Singh can separate from KKR. Now Rinku himself told that if Kolkata does not retain him, then which team he would like to play for.
While talking to Sports Tak, Rinku told that if Kolkata does not retain him, he would like to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2025.
Let us tell you that even though RCB has not won the IPL trophy yet, the team is still very much liked and players are often seen expressing their desire to play for Bangalore.
Rinku Singh and Virat Kohli get along very well. During the 2024 IPL, Rinku had asked for a bat from Virat Kohli and it broke while playing, after which the KKR batsman went to King Kohli to ask for another bat. Rinku Singh and Virat Kohli were in a lot of discussions about the bat.
Will Kolkata not retain Rinku?
Kolkata bought Rinku Singh in 2018 for Rs 80 lakh. Since then, KKR has continuously retained Rinku. Then in the 2022 mega auction, Rinku’s price came down a bit and KKR added him for Rs 55 lakh. Rinku has now spent a long time with KKR, looking at which it does not seem at all that KKR will not retain Rinku.

It is worth noting that Rinku has played 45 IPL matches so far. Batting in 40 innings of these matches, he has scored 893 runs at an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.34. During this time, he has scored 4 half-centuries, in which his highest score was 67 runs.
