IPL Auction 2025 Expensive Uncapped Players: A lot of money has been showered on top international players in the IPL 2025 mega auction. On the first day of this mega auction, very high bids have been placed on uncapped players also. From Nehal Wadhera to Naman Dhir have also earned crores in the auction. Here are those 5 uncapped players who got a much higher amount than their base price.
1. Naman Dheer – 5.25 crore (Mumbai Indians)
Naman Dhir has not got many opportunities to play in IPL yet, yet Mumbai Indians have shown faith in him again. His base price in the mega auction was Rs 30 lakh. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and even Punjab Kings showed interest in him, but Mumbai remained in this race from the beginning and bought Naman by bidding Rs 5.25 crore.
2. Abdul Samad – Rs 4.20 crore (LSG)
Abdul Samad joined Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2020. Samad, who will play for SRH till 2024, had set his base price at Rs 30 lakh in the mega auction, but the last bid for him was Rs 4.20 crore. He has been bought by Lucknow Super Giants.
3. Nehal Wadhera – 4.20 crore (Punjab Kings)
Nehal Wadhera played for Mumbai Indians for the last two seasons, where he used to get Rs 20 lakh. Now Punjab Kings have bought him with a huge bid of Rs 4.20 crore. Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals also showed interest in them, but in the end Punjab won.
4. Ashutosh Sharma – Rs 3.80 crore (Delhi Capitals)
IPL 2024 made Ashutosh Sharma a big star, when he scored 189 runs in 11 matches for Punjab Kings. He came into limelight mostly because of his strike rate of more than 167 and also played the role of a finisher very well. His base price was only Rs 30 lakh. Perhaps even Ashutosh would not have thought that the bid on him would exceed Rs 3 crore.
5. Angkrish Raghuvanshi – 3 Crore (KKR)
Angkrish Raghuvanshi came into limelight during IPL 2024, when he scored 163 runs playing at a stormy strike rate of more than 155 and also played a half-century in his very first season. This time his base price was Rs 30 lakh and this time also he has been bought by Kolkata Knight Riders. A bid of Rs 3 crore was made on it.
