This time Apple is planning to launch a new iPhone 17 Air model which will be the thinnest iPhone ever. According to reports, its thickness can range between 5mm to 6.25mm. It will come in thin designs like Macbook Air and iPad Air with a 6.6-inch screen and single camera setup with a center-class horizontal camera bump.

This new model will not be the fifth variant of the iPhone 17 series but replace the iPhone Plus model. It is believed that Apple is making this change because the sales of Plus model have been relatively low. The iPhone 17 Air will be introduced with thin and compact design.

The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will be equipped with Apple’s new A19 chipset which will be based on TSMC’s 3Nm N3P technology. This processor promises to give fast performance and better battery life.

In the iPhone 17 series, all models will get a display with 120Hz refresh rate. Till now this feature was available only in PRO models, but now this technique will also be seen in iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air. Behind this upgrade will be Ltpo OLED display technology which will always support the on-display feature.

There will also be major changes in the camera system of the iPhone 17 series. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will be given a triple 48MP camera setup (wide, ultra-wide, telephoto), which will be the first iPhone with three high-resolution sensors.

At the same time, the iPhone 17 Air will have a 48MP single camera which will come with a new horizontal design. Apart from this, a mechanical variable aperture feature can also be seen in any one model of iPhone 17, so that users will be able to do photography like DSLR.

The iPhone 17 Air will be the first iPhone in which Apple’s own 5G modem will be given. The remaining models may still depend on the modem of the Qualcomm.

Also, apple custom Wi-Fi 7 chip will be given in all iPhone 17 models, which will provide fast speed, low latency and better connectivity. In addition, the iphone 17 Pro models can be seen in aluminum frame and half-glass, half-aluminum back instead of titanium.

The iPhone 17 series can be launched in September 2025. The iPhone 17 Air will be introduced as a mid-range model, which will cost lower than the Pro models. At the same time, the initial price of iPhone 17 Pro can be 79,900.
