Apple iPhone 17 Series: iPhone 17 series can be launched worldwide by the end of this year. At the same time, in the last few weeks, leaked information related to iPhone 17 has surfaced online. This time, this series may also include a slim variant along with Base, Plus, Pro and Pro Max. Earlier a leak had indicated that this series may have a new design of the rear camera module. Now, a new leak confirms this claim and shows a visor-style camera unit, which is a departure from the square camera design seen in recent iPhones.

Tipster Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial) on Tuesday shared live photos of the back panel of the iPhone 17 on X. The iPhone variant was not mentioned in the post, but it could be the base model. The image shows a visor-like pill-shaped module on the top, with a single camera cutout on the left side.
This visor-style design can be compared to the camera module of Google Pixel smartphones. It is worth noting that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have vertical elliptical rear camera modules, while the Pro models have seen a square design since the iPhone 11. An earlier leak had claimed that this new design would be to make room for a “front structure light”, which would probably be used for Face ID.
Possible features of iPhone 17 series
According to a report, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may have 48-megapixel telephoto cameras and 5x optical zoom. This will be a big upgrade over the 12-megapixel cameras of the iPhone 16 Pro models. iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have 12-megapixel TrueDepth selfie cameras, while iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to have a 24-megapixel front camera sensor.
AI features will be available
Apple may launch the iPhone 17 Air model against the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim. Earlier leaks had claimed that the iPhone 17 Air will be 5.5mm thin and will support eSIM connectivity. It can come with A18 or A19 chipset, 8GB RAM and Apple’s intelligence features.
