The price of this phone starts at around Rs 1,19,900, in which users get a variant with 128GB. Apple had made big claims about the iPhone 16 Pro at the time of launch, but now questions are being raised on the performance of this new iPhone.
The scores of the iPhone 16 Pro in the benchmark tests conducted on Geekbench 6 have disappointed many users around the world. People found in this score that in terms of performance, the iPhone 16 Pro is not much better than its older model iPhone 15 Pro. Let us compare the benchmark scores of these two phones and see what is the difference.
Geekbench scores of iPhone 16 Pro
In fact, according to a report by Gizmochina, the performance of the iPhone 16 Pro was compared with that of the iPhone 15 Pro in Geekbench 6, in which not much improvement was seen. Apple’s new A18 Pro chipset has been installed for the processor in the iPhone 16 Pro, which is based on the 3nm process.
In tests conducted on Geekbench 6, the iPhone 16 Pro scored 3,409 in the single-core test and 8,492 in the multi-core test. These scores show marginal improvements over the iPhone 15 Pro and are not as impressive as expected.

The iPhone 15 Pro is powered by Apple’s A17 Pro chipset, which is based on the 5nm process. In tests conducted on Geekbench 6, the iPhone 15 Pro scored 2,908 in the single-core test and 7,238 in the multi-core test.
These scores are slightly lower than the iPhone 16 Pro, but the difference is not very big. By looking at the Geekbench scores of both of them, you can yourself understand how much difference there is in the performance of both the phones.
comparison of both phones
The single-core scores of the iPhone 16 Pro have seen an improvement of about 15%, while the multi-core scores have improved by about 18%. However, this improvement is not as big as Apple claimed at its launch event.
Apple had said that the A18 Pro chipset would be 30% faster than the A16 Bionic chipset, but in reality this improvement is not as good as the company claimed.
What could be the possible reasons for this?
Software Optimization: Software optimization for the new chipset may take time.
Thermal Throttling: Thermal throttling can also be a reason during high performance.
Testing Conditions: Testing conditions and environment can also affect scores.
iPhone 16 Pro performance testing result
There is an improvement in the performance of the iPhone 16 Pro, but this improvement is not as much as was expected and as much as the company claimed at the time of launch. If you are a user of iPhone 15 Pro and were thinking of upgrading to the new iPhone 16 Pro, then you will not get much benefit from it.
However, the new iPhone may prove to be better in terms of camera or other features, but if the performance of the phone matters more to you then you can take your decision based on the results of Geekbench testing.
