Instagram New Features: Social media platform Instagram is widely used in the country. In such a situation, Instagram has added many new features to it. These are specially made for direct messages. According to the information, now facilities ranging from location sharing to new stickers have been provided in it. These features will now give direct competition to Snapchat which has become a popular app.
Location Sharing
Now you can share your location through Instagram, just like live location is shared on WhatsApp. This feature will be especially useful for influencers, who can give information about events or concerts to their followers through direct messages. However, this feature will only work with the people with whom you are having a private chat. You will not be able to share your location with any unknown person. This feature has gone live in some countries and will soon be available in other places including India.
Nickname Feature
Instagram has added a new feature, in which you can give a special nickname to the friends present in your direct message list. For this you will have to go to your friend’s chat window and click on the edit option. After updating the new nickname, it will be visible only to you in your chats.
New stickers
Now 17 new sticker packs have been added to Instagram, which include more than 300 fun and funny stickers. Users can use them during direct messaging. Apart from this, Instagram will also allow users to create their own stickers.
With these new features, Instagram has further improved the experience of its users. More new features may be added in the coming days.
