Team India will benefit from Pakistan’s victory
New Zealand has 4 points after playing 3 matches, while Pakistan has 2 points after playing 3 matches. Whereas Team India has 4 points after playing 4 matches. In such a situation, if New Zealand defeats Pakistan in the last match, then the Kiwi women’s team will directly reach the semi-finals with 6 points.
On the other hand, if Pakistan defeats New Zealand in its last match of the group stage, then the points of all three teams in the race for the semi-finals will be equal (4-4). Then in this situation the team with better net run rate will reach the semi-finals. At present, Team India’s net run rate is the best. Therefore, Team India would like Pakistan to defeat New Zealand in today’s match.
