On this viral podcast, Lalit Modi told that N Srinivasan used to swap umpires in the matches of Chennai Super Kings. He said, “He also did the work of changing the umpires, he used to give work to CSK umpires in CSK matches. I did not like this because he was openly fixing. When I tried to raise my voice against him. So he went against me.”
Andrew Flintoff issue arises again
Lalit Modi has again given a big statement on the controversy over Andrew Flintoff. In fact, CSK owner N Srinivasan is accused of fixing the auction to buy Andrew Flintoff in the IPL 2009 auction. Lalit again brought up the topic and said that Srinivasan was adamant that he wanted to buy Flintoff and every franchise was aware of the fixing done by him.
Lalit Modi said in his new statement, “Yes, we did fixing in the auction. Every franchise was aware of it. We had told everyone not to bid on Flintoff because Srinivasan wanted to include him in his team. That way He wanted to be a thorn in the side because he believed that the IPL experiment would not be successful.”
