Ishan Kishan was excluded from the central contract by BCCI
Last season, Ishan Kishan refused to play some matches of the Ranji Trophy, due to which the BCCI dropped him from its central contract. The board had instructed the players to play domestic cricket so that they can make their place in the Indian team. But Ishan ignored it and chose to train at the Kiran More Academy with the Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal Pandya to prepare for IPL 2024.
This decision of Ishan Kishan has made his return to the Indian team difficult. 26-year-old Ishan is now trying to make a place in the Indian team in the upcoming home series against Bangladesh. Kishan last played for the Indian team in the T20 series against Australia in November 2023. He was also included in the Test and T20 squads against South Africa, but he withdrew from that series due to mental fatigue due to constant travel.
