Will Netflix pay half the amount promised?
According to the latest updates, due to low box office collection, the film has now run into trouble before its release on Netflix. It is reported that Netflix is trying to revise the OTT deal.
According to reports, the OTT platform is now saying that they will pay half of the amount of Rs 120 crore that they had promised, as Indian 2 has fared very poorly at the box office. This is said to have led to a major disagreement between Netflix and Lyca Productions.
Indian 2 was to be released on OTT on this day
Earlier it was being said that Indian 2 will be released on OTT on August 9, 2024. However, the ongoing differences between the streaming platform and the makers of the film have now put the OTT release of the film in big trouble.
According to reports, this is the reason why both Netflix and Lyca Productions have not yet officially announced the OTT release date and time of Kamal Haasan’s film even though the film has completed three weeks. However, the OTT release date will be announced once the disagreement is resolved.
