Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024: India defeated Pakistan badly in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 match. Team India, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, won by 7 wickets. Pakistan’s team won the toss and decided to bat first. During this, the Pak team collapsed on a score of 108 runs. In response, India won on the basis of strong innings of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. The bowlers also performed brilliantly for India. Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets.
Chasing the target set by Pakistan, Team India achieved the target in 14.1 overs. This was the first match of the Indian team in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024.
Strong performance by Shafali-Mandhana for Team India –
Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma came to open for the Indian team chasing the target given by Pakistan. During this, both gave a good start to Team India. Mandhana scored 45 runs facing 31 balls. Her innings included 9 fours. Shafali scored 40 runs in 29 balls. Shafali hit 6 fours and 1 six. Dayalan Hemalatha was out after scoring 14 runs. She hit 3 fours facing 11 balls. In the end, Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten after scoring 5 runs and Jemima remained unbeaten after scoring 3 runs.
Pak team collapsed on the score of 108 runs –
Team India had bowled out Pakistan for 108 runs. Amin scored the highest 25 runs for the Pak team captained by Nida Dar. She faced 35 balls and hit 3 fours. Fatima Sana played an innings of 22 runs. She scored an unbeaten 22 runs facing 16 balls. Sana hit one four and two sixes. Hasan scored 22 runs facing 19 balls. She hit 3 fours.
Deadly bowling by Team India –
During Pakistan’s innings, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly. Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs. Deepti dismissed Pakistan captain Nida on a personal score of 8 runs. Hasan was dismissed on a personal score of 22 runs. Renuka Singh, Shreyanka Patil and Pooja took 2-2 wickets for India.
