India Medal Asian Table Tennis Championship 2024: India has entered the semi-finals by defeating South Korea 3-2 in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Asian Table Tennis Championship being played in Kazakhstan. With this, India has secured its first medal in the history of Asian Table Tennis Championship. At one time the Indian team was leading 2-0, but South Korea made a spectacular comeback and made the match exciting.
Ayika Mukherjee and Manika Batra won their respective games and gave Team India a 2-0 lead. On one hand, Mukherjee defeated Shin Yubi 11-9, 7-11, 12-10, 7-11, 11-7. On the other hand, Manika Batra defeated Jeon Jihee in a thrilling manner by 12-11, 13-11, 11-5, 5-11, 12-10. But after this, Srika Akula had to face a crushing defeat of 0-3 in her game, on the other hand, Manika lost 3-2 at the hands of Shin Yubi in a close match.
