IND vs SL 2nd ODI Toss And Playing XI Update: The second match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka is to be played today i.e. on 04th August, Sunday. In the match, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat. Sri Lanka has made two changes in its playing eleven for the match. On the other hand, Team India’s playing eleven was surprising.
The surprising thing in Team India’s playing eleven was Rishabh Pant. After the first ODI, Rishabh Pant did not get a chance in the second match as well. KL Rahul appeared as the wicketkeeper batsman of the Indian team in the second ODI as well. Rohit Sharma has not made any changes in the playing eleven. On the other hand, Sri Lanka has made two big changes in the form of Jeffrey Vandersay and Kamindu Mendis. Jeffrey Vandersay has come in the team in place of injured Wanindu Hasranga. Hasranga has been ruled out of the series after getting injured. On the other hand, Kamindu Mendis has been made a part of the team in place of Mohammad Shiraz.

After the toss, Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka said, “We will bat first. I think so, it looks the same as the rest of the day. Not that different for this game as a captain.”

After the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said, “Chasing is okay. We know what to expect when we chase. This has to be done. You cannot always play with the same mindset and in the same way. You have to first adapt to the conditions and then play freely. This is the most important thing (playing with freedom) that we want to do as a team. There is nothing to worry that we could not win the last match. Both teams played well, the result not going in our favor was right for that game.”
