India vs Australia 3rd Test: The third match of the Test series played between India and Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane was drawn. Australia had given India a target of 275 runs to win. But the match could not start after the tea break on the fifth day of the match. In view of rain and low light, the match was declared a draw. The teams of India and Australia are still tied at 1-1 in the series.
Australia had scored 445 runs in the first innings. During this period, Steve Smith and Travis Head had scored centuries. Head had played a brilliant inning of 152 runs. Whereas Smith had scored 101 runs. Alex Carey played an inning of 70 runs. During this period, Jasprit Bumrah had taken 6 wickets from India’s side. Whereas Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets. Akash Deep and Nitish Reddy took 1-1 wicket.
Rahul’s strong performance for Team India –
India scored 260 runs till all out in the first innings. During this, opener KL Rahul played an important role. Rahul faced 139 balls and scored 89 runs. He hit 8 fours. Ravindra Jadeja scored a half-century. He scored 77 runs facing 123 balls. This innings of Jadeja included 7 fours and 1 six. Akash Deep played an important inning of 31 runs in the end. He hit 2 fours and 1 six.
Indian bowlers wreaked havoc in Australia’s second innings –
Indian bowlers bowled lethally during Australia’s second innings. Australia had lost 7 wickets at the score of 89 runs. However, he declared the innings after this. Alex Carey had scored 20 not out. Cummins played an inning of 22 runs. While bowling for India, Bumrah took 3 wickets. Siraj and Akash Deep took 2-2 wickets.
