India Squad for Champions Trophy 2025: The Indian team for Champions Trophy 2025 is going to be announced on Saturday. Team India’s Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and Indian Cricket Team Captain Rohit Sharma will hold a press conference together, in which India’s 15-member team will be announced. The Champions Trophy will start on 19 February and the final match will be played on 9 March. Most of the matches will be played in Pakistan, but Team India’s matches will be played in Dubai under the hybrid model. But the question still remains that which players will get a chance in Team India?
According to India Today, the place of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul is certain in the team. Jasprit Bumrah, who has been suffering from back pain since the Sydney Test against Australia, will also be included in the 15-member squad. But whether Bumrah will play in the tournament or not depends on his fitness. Karun Nair, who has so far scored 752 runs in 7 innings of Vijay Hazare Trophy, out of which 5 centuries have come from his bat. The chances of Nair getting a place in the Champions Trophy team are very less. On the other hand, Sanju Samson may also not get a place in the final list of 15 players.
India can include Hardik Pandya, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar as all-rounders in the squad for the Champions Trophy. Another big question is whether Mohammed Shami will be a part of the squad or not? Shami was recently included in the squad for the T20 series against England. Let us also tell you that this team will not be final because each team can make changes in its squad before the start of the tournament.
India’s probable squad for Champions Trophy: Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.
