IND vs SL Team India Trolled on Social Media: The Indian team on Sri Lanka tour played the second match of the three-match ODI series on 4 August. The result of this match was different, but the performance of the Indian team was a copy-paste of the first match. The middle order of the Indian team faltered completely. While chasing the target of 241 runs, the Indian team was completely devastated, after which it seemed as if there was a flood of people trolling the Indian team on social media.
Indian team looked helpless in front of Sri Lankan spinners
Sri Lankan spinners once again put the Indian batsmen in trouble. In the last match, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dubey had brought the team close, but this time the equation was against India.
Rohit Sharma once again made a stormy start, but the team faltered as soon as he was out. Except Akshar Patel, no Indian batsman was able to face the difficult pitch and fell prey to the Sri Lankan bowlers. Jeffrey Vandersay proved to be the most dangerous among them. He got a place in the team due to the injury of star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga.
Spinner Vandersay took full advantage of the opportunity and sent the Indian batsmen to the pavilion. Fans were enraged by India’s defeat and expressed their displeasure on social media. Some people even compared India to Pakistan and said that the Indian batsmen played like the Pakistani team today.
Indian batting needs improvement. Defensive mindset batsmen are now harming the team. An approach like Rohit Sharma’s is the need of the hour.
