India vs New Zealand Gautam Gambhir: Team India had to face a crushing defeat in the Test series against New Zealand. The Indian team could not win even a single match on its own soil. After this defeat, head coach Gautam Gambhir is under question. According to a report, Gambhir’s Sri Lanka tour may also be reviewed. Gambhir was given a free hand by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. But he was not successful in Test and ODI.
After Sri Lanka, Team India had to face defeat against New Zealand. BCCI had given freedom to Gambhir in every way. Gambhir made the coaching staff of his own choice. But after the ODI, there was no result even in the test series. According to a PTI news, now Gambhir’s work will be reviewed. After Team India’s crushing defeat, questions are being raised on them. Therefore, there will be a review of the work of the last three months.
What Dravid-Shastri did not get was given to Gambhir –
BCCI did not give complete free hand to Rahul Dravid and Ravi Shastri. But this facility was given seriously. He chose bowling, batting and fielding coaches on his own accord. BCCI also accepted Gambhir’s suggestion. The board hoped that doing so would yield better results. But this could not happen. Team India had to face 0-3 defeat in the Test series against New Zealand.
First Sri Lanka and then New Zealand defeated –
Team India went on a tour of Sri Lanka in July this year. T20 and ODI series were played here. India was defeated 2-0 by Sri Lanka in the ODI series. Sri Lanka won the second ODI by 32 runs. Whereas in the third ODI, victory was registered by 110 runs. After this, India was badly beaten by New Zealand. Due to the poor performance of Team India, questions are being raised on the coaching staff.
