IND vs BAN 2nd Test Day 4 Report: By the end of the fourth day’s play in the second Test match between India and Bangladesh, Bangladesh had scored 26 runs after losing 2 wickets. After the second and third day were completely washed away by rain, Bangladesh extended their innings by 107 runs. A total of 18 wickets fell in the fourth day’s play and a total of 437 runs were scored in the day. Shadman Islam scored 7 runs for Bangladesh in the second innings and first innings centurion Mominul Haq has not been able to open his account in the second innings yet.
India declared the first innings on the score of 285 runs. When Bangladesh came to bat again, Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan were seen playing with the intention of saving the wicket. But Ravichandran Ashwin took full advantage of this defensive strategy. His spinning balls took 2 wickets of Bangladesh in the second innings. On the fourth day, Bangladesh’s score has reached 26 runs at the loss of 2 wickets and it is still lagging behind India by 26 runs in the second innings.
India dealt with Bangladesh cheaply
On the first day, 35 overs were played, in which Bangladesh scored 107 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. On the fourth day, Mushfiqur Rahim was out after scoring 11 runs shortly after coming on the field, but Mominul Haq remained at the crease from the other end till the end. He played an unbeaten inning of 107 runs and made an important contribution in taking his team to the score of 233. Jasprit Bumrah took maximum 3 wickets in the first innings for India.
India created ruckus with batting
Indian opening batsmen, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma started batting stormy as soon as they arrived. Jaiswal and Rohit together had scored 51 runs in just 3 overs. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 23 runs, while Jaiswal, on the other hand, completed his half-century in just 31 balls and his innings ended at 72 runs. Since there was only one day left in the match, all the Indian batsmen were entering the field with the intention of hitting the ball. Virat Kohli scored 47 runs and KL Rahul played an important role in taking India to the score of 285 by playing a fast and composed inning of 68 runs. India declared its innings at 285 runs.
