The most special thing about this list is that most of these NRIs have set up their own business abroad after leaving India. According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, London-based Gopichand Hinduja and Family are the richest NRIs. Their wealth is estimated at Rs 192,700 crore. After this comes ArcelorMittal owner Lakshmi Niwas Mittal. He is also a resident of Britain. Also, London-based Vedanta Resources owner Anil Agarwal and Family are at number three in this list. 79 percent of the NRIs included in the list have the title of being self-made billionaires. The maximum number of 46 NRIs are settled in America.

The number of billionaires in India increased to 334
According to Hurun, the number of billionaires in India has increased to 334. In the year 2023, a new billionaire has been created in India every 5 days. The number of billionaires in China has declined by 25 percent while in India this figure has jumped by 29 percent. For the first time, 1539 new people have joined the Hurun India Rich List 2024. According to the list, with 17 new billionaires, Hyderabad has overtaken Bengaluru for the first time to take the third position. Mumbai is at the first place in the list with 386 billionaires. After this comes the turn of New Delhi, where 217 billionaires live. Hyderabad is at the third place with 104. Mumbai has added 66 new billionaires in 2023.
