Hurun India Rich List 2024 has reported in its report that in 2023, India has added a new billionaire every five days. On this list, Hurun India founder and chief researcher Anas Rahman Junaid said, India has won gold in the Olympics of wealth creation. India has scored a triple century in terms of the number of billionaires. All 20 sectors have added new faces to this list. There are new faces in the top 20 sectors, which is a sign of such enthusiasm of entrepreneurship in India that is not stopping.
The number of billionaires increased in India while it decreased in China
Anas Rehman Junaid said, India has emerged as the engine of wealth creation in Asia. The number of billionaires in China has declined by 25 percent while the number of billionaires in India has increased by 29 percent. For the first time, 1539 new people have been included in the Hurun India Rich List 2024, which includes family-run businesses to startup founders and private equity investors, angel investors, leaders of different generations, film stars and many more.
There are 386 billionaires living in Mumbai.
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, with 17 new billionaires, Hyderabad has overtaken Bengaluru for the first time to come to the third place in terms of billionaire residents. Mumbai is at the first place in the Hurun India Rich List with 386 billionaires. After this comes New Delhi where there are 217 billionaire residents. Hyderabad is at the third place with 104. Mumbai has added 66 new billionaires in 2023.
