Huma Qureshi Announces Maharani 4: Huma Qureshi’s political drama web series ‘Maharani’ was liked a lot by the audience. So far three seasons of the web series streamed on Sony Liv have arrived. Now fans were waiting for the fourth season of ‘Maharani’ and meanwhile Huma Qureshi has announced the fourth sequel of the series.
Huma Qureshi made her Bollywood debut in the year 2012 with the film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. After this he worked in films like ‘Dedh Ishqiyaan’, ‘Tarla’, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ and ‘Double Excel’. But the recognition she got from web series like ‘Maharani’, she could not get from films. The actress herself has spoken openly about this.
‘Tell your stories in a different way…’
In a recent interview to Hindustan Times, Huma Qureshi said- ‘As an industry, the time has come for us to look within ourselves and think how we can tell our stories differently. What is the audience expecting from us or what are they ready for? I have been doing a mix of streaming projects, big films and indie films. That’s what I like to do, place my bets everywhere.
‘Maharani Season 4’ confirmed
Huma Qureshi gave credit for her success to her popular series Maharani. She says- ‘I can clearly define my career before and after Maharani. This was the show where people stood up and took notice of my ability. Its success forced people to imagine me in roles which they were not able to do before. And now, season 4 of ‘Maharani’ is about to come.
The actress enumerated the benefits of OTT
During this, Huma Qureshi also talked about her success on OTT and why OTT is doing more than theatres. He said- ‘OTT provides entertainment at the tap of a button and this is a great power. But I think this is for a different kind of content. There are some things that should be experienced on the big screen the way they were filmed. It’s like apples and oranges, they shouldn’t be compared. Both mediums are for different experiences.
