In severe cases, brain infection can also occur. This can also cause swelling in the head i.e. encephalitis, which is dangerous. In some cases, symptoms are not even visible in those infected with Nipah virus.

How to prevent Nipah virus?
1. Do not eat or touch fallen or half or rotten fruits.
2. Avoid coming in contact with sick animals, especially pigs.
3. Maintain cleanliness, especially wash hands frequently.
4. Wear proper clothing if you are around infected animals or people.
How and for how many days does the treatment of Nipah virus last
There is no antiviral medicine available to treat Nipah virus. No vaccine has been made for this virus yet. In its treatment, doctors only try to reduce the symptoms. The treatment continues until the symptoms are controlled. Apart from this, proper care of the patient is very important. One should drink at least 7-8 glasses of water a day. The patient needs ample rest. Medicines to control nausea or vomiting should be taken on time. If there is difficulty in breathing, use an inhaler or nebulizer. Doctors give anticonvulsants if the patient has a seizure. Doctors can also do monoclonal antibody treatment for Nipah virus.
