At some point these cells can become cancerous and spread to the surrounding tissues. According to experts, stage zero cancer is also called pre-cancer. If treatment is started at this stage itself, it can be easy to control the tumor. Because if detected at the right time, surgery becomes easier. Since the tumor has not spread in this stage, the patient can survive even chemotherapy or radiation.

According to experts, zero stage cancer can be identified through genetics and environmental factors. If someone in the family has had any kind of cancer, then there may be a possibility of other people getting cancer. In the zero stage, cancer cells do not spread to other parts of the body, which can make it easier to manage. Cancer can be easily detected through many types of tests. In such a situation, attention should be paid to some frequently occurring symptoms, so that they can be identified in time.

1. A small hard lump in the breast or bleeding from the nipple can be a sign of zero stage breast cancer.

2. Abnormal Pap smear could mean stage zero cervical cancer.

3. Not digesting food properly, frequent stomach ache or problems in the washroom can be warning signs of gastrointestinal cancer.

If any such signs are seen, one should immediately consult a doctor, so that cancer can be prevented in advance. A study by the Canadian Cancer Society has found that if most cancers are detected in the early stages, the chances of survival can increase by up to 90%. This probability in lung cancer was 62%.

Test to detect cancer

With high-tech technology like Artificial Intelligence tools (AI Tools) and liquid biopsy, it is possible to detect cancer at its initial stage. In January, American researchers reported that they had designed a test that could detect 18 early stage cancers by detecting proteins in the blood. This Gender-Specific Liquid Biopsy Test detected stage 1 cancer in 93% of cases in women and 84% of cases in women.
