Why did Gambhir return to India?
The first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was played in Perth. Team India had registered a spectacular victory in the match by 295 runs. According to media reports, after this victory, Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir had to return to India due to personal reasons.
After the Perth Test, Team India played a two-day warm-up match against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra. Head coach Gambhir was not present with the team during this match. Team India had won the warm-up match. In the two-day warm match, only 46-46 overs were played in one day due to rain.
Team India was all out for 36 runs in Adelaide in 2020.
