The festival of Hartalika victory is being celebrated today i.e. on 6th September. This festival has great importance in Hinduism. On this special day, women observe fast for the long life and well-being of their husbands.
Donating many things on this day is considered very auspicious. On Hartalika Teej, married women break their fast with donations.
On this day, it is auspicious to donate cosmetics like mehndi, bindi, bangles, toe rings, kumkum, kalash, kajal, comb, mahavar, sandalwood etc.
Donating all these things on this day increases the love between husband and wife and strengthens the relationship. Also, the married life remains happy.
Along with cosmetics, donating fruits, cucumber, sandalwood, ghee, lamp, camphor on this day is also considered very auspicious. By doing this, one gets the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.
