Gujarat Titans IPL 2025 Possible Squad: Gujarat Titans had retained a total of five players for IPL 2025. Gujarat has spent Rs 51 crore on these 5 players including Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan and now in the auction it will have to prepare the rest of its team within Rs 61 crore. Before the auction, now a big update has come out on GT head coach Ashish Nehra that he was seen talking to Mohammed Shami and Umran Malik on Monday.
According to a report by Rev Sports, Ashish Nehra was seen talking with fast bowlers Umran Malik and Mohammed Shami. Shami has not played in this league after IPL 2023, on the other hand, Umran Malik could play only one match in IPL 2024, after which he had to miss the rest of the season due to injury. Let us tell you that there is not a single fast bowler present in the retention list of Gujarat, so it is not difficult to understand that this team is in great need of pace attack.
If we look at Mohammed Shami’s IPL career, till now he has taken 127 wickets in 110 matches. On the other hand, Umran Malik has taken 27 wickets in 26 IPL matches so far. He has gained a lot of popularity for bowling at speeds of more than 150 km per hour. Talking about the last season, Gujarat team had many famous and talented fast bowlers including Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Joshua Little and Karthik Tyagi, but GT has not retained any of them for the upcoming season.
Before the IPL 2025 mega auction, all 10 teams had retained a total of 46 players. If only pace bowlers and fast bowling all-rounder players are taken together, then out of 46 such players, 12 have been retained. These include the names of Jasprit Bumrah and Mayank Yadav to Hardik Pandya and Nitish Reddy, whom the team can use as fast bowling options.
