Punjab joins the top three states
According to Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, by increasing such records in GST collection, Punjab has joined the top three states in the country who have succeeded in increasing GST collection more than the national average. In this way, in the first nine months, Punjab has crossed the income figure of 30 thousand crores from VAT, CST, GST, PSDT and excise duty. There has been a total income of 31,156.31 crore, which was 27,927.31 crore last year. He said that Punjab has also registered an increase of 21.31 percent in the income from excise i.e. alcohol. Tax is increasing without harassing people
Harpal Singh Cheema claimed that Punjab got this success in the tax collection without harassing people.
