The Central Minority Scholarship Scheme is a financial assistance scheme launched by the Government of India, which was run for financial assistance to the students of minority communities like Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi and Jain. This was helping the students of minority community to continue education. Let us tell you that this scheme was being operated by Ministry of Minority Affairs. But now the government has decided to stop this scheme. However, this scheme has been unannounced. Because the budget given by the government for the scheme, only the government’s previous arrears will be removed from it.
Government unannounced minority scholarship scheme
Let us tell you that adequate amount has not been released in the budget for this scheme. During the budget, only 635 crore have been given for students across the country, which is not enough in any sense. However, it is being claimed that no application for this scheme had come for two years. After the disturbances in the scheme came to light, the Central Government had ordered an inquiry into the year 2022-23. After which applications were not taken in the years 2023-24 and 2024-25. Apart from this, the government was constantly decreasing the budget of the scheme for the last two years.
The government has given 198.70 crore for students of 9th and 10th, 413 crore for 12th standard and only 7.34 crores for technical, business courses. The Minority Department says that only 2022-23 dues can be given from this amount given in the budget, this year the department has no arrangement.

In the year 2021-22, UP alone got a budget of Rs 442 crore
Let me tell you that there was a time when the government used to give up to one and a half crore rupees for a state in the budget. Talk about separate Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh alone was given Rs 442 crore in the year 2021-22. At the same time, the government had brought more than 30 crore rupees for the students of business and technical subjects. But this time this budget has been reduced to only 7 crore rupees.
