Under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, the limit of Mudra Loan has been increased from the existing Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. The government has also issued a notification regarding this decision.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the budget for the financial year 2024-25 on July 23, 2024, had announced that the loan limit of Rs 10 lakh given under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana will be increased to Rs 20 lakh. Will be done. Now this announcement has been implemented. The Finance Ministry said, increasing this limit will help in achieving the goal of Mudra Scheme and such new entrepreneurs who need funds will now be able to provide more funds for the growth and expansion of their business.
At present, there are three categories in the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana namely Shishu, Kishore and Tarun under which loans are given. Now a new category named Tarun Plus has been launched. There is a provision to give loan up to Rs 50,000 under Mudra Yojana. Under Kishore Scheme, those doing business can take Mudra loan ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh. Under Tarun Scheme, there is a rule to give loan from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Businessmen who have successfully returned the loan taken under Tarun Yojana will now be able to get loans ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh under Tarun Plus category for the growth and expansion of their business.
Under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, guarantee coverage on loans up to Rs 20 lakh will be given under Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units.
