Gmail Safe Listing: A feature called ‘Safe Listing’ on Gmail is amazing. It lists the important mails of the users and prevents them from being missed. This feature allows users to add certain email addresses and domains to Gmail. With this, Gmail decides that all mail from the created filter bypasses spam and goes directly to the inbox. If it has ever happened to you that your work mail has gone to spam and because of this you have had to face problems, then turn on this setting in the app today itself.
Know what is safe listing?
Safe listing is also called white listing. This means that you are securing a mail ID or domain. This will prevent it from going to spam. With blacklisting you can block any mail forever.
Do not add too many addresses etc. in the safe listing as this will affect its effectiveness. Also, keep reviewing your safe listing from time to time so that it remains relevant and effective.
Add any such address
1. First of all open Gmail and go to settings.
2. After this click on “See all settings” and select the option of Filter and Blocked Addresses.
3. Now select the Create New Filter option and create a new filter.
4. Fill all the information asked here and click on Create Filter.
5. You will now see a pop-up select the “Never send this to spam” label and apply the filter to existing conversations.
6. If you do not apply this on existing conversations then old mails will not come in safe listing.
7. After this, Gmail will show you a confirmation message stating that your filter has been created.
8. You can change the settings whenever you want.
