Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir returned to India on 26 November. According to reports, it was said that a member of Gambhir’s family was unwell, but he would join Team India before the Adelaide Test starting on 6th December. He will join the Indian team again on Tuesday, 3rd December. After his return, the biggest challenge before him will be to prepare the playing eleven. Rohit Sharma will be returning for the second test, while Shubman Gill also batted strongly in the practice match.
Making playing eleven is a big challenge for Gautam Gambhir
Due to the return of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, question marks have been raised over KL Rahul’s place in the playing eleven. Since Rahul is in good form and had scored a total of 103 runs in both the innings of the Perth Test. On the other hand, due to Gill, Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal may have to lose their places in the playing eleven. Meanwhile, speculations about change in the batting order are also gaining momentum.
In the practice match played with pink ball, India defeated Prime Minister’s XI by 6 wickets. In this practice match, everyone from Shubman Gill to KL Rahul, Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar also batted very well. Harshit Rana shone in bowling, who took four wickets after bowling just 6 overs.
