Paris Olympics 2024 Train Lines Attack: Even before the start of Paris Olympics 2024, news of a dangerous attack has come to light in the city. Amid preparations for the Olympics 2024, France’s high-speed rail network has been targeted, with tracks being damaged and arson being committed, which has affected rail traffic considerably. Rail network operator SNFC says the incident happened just hours before the opening ceremony begins.
8 lakh passengers affected
Issuing an official statement, SNFC said that a total of 3 attacks took place in a single night, due to which the cable boxes present at the junction have been damaged. Due to the attack on the rail network, many trains have either been canceled or their routes have been changed. It will take about a week for the situation to return to normal. It is being told that 8 lakh passengers have been affected by this incident so far. The railway line was attacked in the Arras area located between Lille and Paris, due to which the rail traffic between Lille-Paris has been stopped for the time being.
French Prime Minister issued order
On this incident, French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal has issued an order to find the culprits as soon as possible. He told through X that this incident was pre-planned and it was executed as per the plan. He has assured the people affected by this incident that the culprits will be caught and punished as soon as possible.
This morning, acts of sabotage were carried out, in a prepared and coordinated manner, on the installations of the SNCF.

A Russian man arrested
Around 3 lakh people will attend the opening ceremony of Paris Olympics, which will also include some VIPs. Policemen are deployed at every corner of Paris and on 26th July, heavy police force will be deployed in the area around the Seine river. Because for the first time in history, the athletes’ parade will not take place in a field but in the river. Police have also arrested a Russian man, who was suspected of trying to spoil the atmosphere of the Olympic Games. In such complex circumstances, security arrangements have been tightened.
