AB De Villiers Return: The year was 2021 and the month of November, when AB de Villiers said goodbye to his cricket career. He has not played any competitive cricket for the last three and a half years, but now by giving a hint of a comeback, he has once again created a stir in the cricket world. De Villiers says that he would definitely like to play cricket again, but he also made it clear that he is not coming back to the Indian Premier League or any other franchise league.
While discussing a podcast, AB de Villiers said that he can probably still play ODI cricket. He said, “I am not making any confirmation, but I can feel it from inside. My children are pressurizing me to practice with them in the nets. If I like it, I will probably play informal cricket in some ground somewhere. I can play. I have already made it clear that I have no desire to return to a league like IPL or SA20.”
I am for my children…
The South African legend continued, “Who knows what’s next, but let’s see. I’ll try to get back into cricket and let’s see how it works out for me. I’ll do it for my kids, let’s see.” I would like to know whether I can enjoy the game of cricket like before or not.”
Returning to RCB…
AB de Villiers has played with Virat Kohli in IPL for many years and both have a good friendship. De Villiers said, “I am not talking about RCB or professional level cricket. I do not want to face that pressure again. I will try to enjoy wherever I go.”
