Shahid Afridi on Pakistan Loss Against Bangladesh: Bangladesh registered its first win over Pakistan in the history of Test cricket last Sunday. Now Bangladesh has created a sensation in the whole of Pakistan with a 10-wicket win. On one hand, there is a festive atmosphere in the team captained by Nazmul Shanto, but on the other hand, Shahid Afridi is furious over Pakistan’s shameful defeat. Afridi expressed his displeasure and anger over the selection of the pitch and the inclusion of 4 fast bowlers in the playing eleven. He also objected to the absence of a main spinner in the team.
Shahid Afridi wrote angrily on X, “The 10 wicket loss raises big questions about the selection of such a pitch. What is the meaning of selecting four fast bowlers and leaving out a specialist spin bowler? This clearly shows that the team lacks awareness about home conditions. Bangladesh should get full credit for the kind of cricket they played throughout the test match.”
A 10-wicket defeat raises serious questions about the decision to prepare this type of pitch, select four fast bowlers and leave out a specialist spinner. This to me clearly shows a lack of awareness about home conditions. That said, you cannot take the credit away from…

What was the reason for Pakistan’s defeat?
In the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match, 90 overs could not be played due to rain on the first day. To save time, Pakistan declared its innings at 448 runs before the second day’s play ended. Shahid Afridi’s point seems correct because if the pitch had been assessed correctly, Pakistan should have tried to reach a score of 500 or 550 runs in the first innings. In response to Pakistan’s 448 runs, Bangladesh stunned everyone by scoring 565 runs. The wrong decision of declaring the innings laid the foundation for the defeat of the Pakistani team.
