Cricketer Mashrafe Mortaza House Fire Bangladesh Protests: The ongoing protests against reservation in Bangladesh are not subsiding. Let us tell you that former Bangladesh cricketer Mashrafe Murtaza was also elected MP from Sheikh Hasina’s party, Awami League. Now amid the protests, news has come that Murtaza’s house has been set on fire. Before the fire was set, the house was vandalized and a case of looting has also come to light.
Mashrafe Murtaza is an MP from Narail-2 constituency in Bangladesh, who is considered very close to former PM Sheikh Hasina. Murtaza was elected MP from Narail-2 seat for the second consecutive time this year. Apart from setting fire to Mashrafe Murtaza’s house, violent elements have also set fire to the Awami League office located in the district. At the same time, the house of the party president Subhash Chandra Bose has been vandalized in the district. There are reports of looting and vandalism in the Narayanganj-4 constituency and the houses of many leaders associated with the Awami Party. On the other hand, after Sheikh Hasina left the country, her official residence has been looted and vandalized. The seriousness of the matter is so much that the statue of Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been demolished.

Mashrafe Murtaza played cricket for Bangladesh for 20 years and was also the captain for a long time. In his historic career, he played 36 Test matches, in which he has 78 wickets and 797 runs to his name. He has 270 wickets in 220 ODI matches and as a batsman, he has scored 1,787 runs. In his 54-match T20 career, he took 42 wickets and scored 377 runs.
