According to Forbes, Vinod Adani’s net worth was $9.8 billion in the year 2023, which has increased to $23 billion in the year 2024. That means, within just one year, there has been a 134 percent jump in Vinod Adani’s wealth.

According to the list of billionaires released by Forbes, even though Gautam Adani is an Indian citizen, his elder brother Vinod Adani, 75, is not an Indian but a citizen of Cyprus. According to Forbes, Vinod Adani lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and has invested in Adani Group companies through multiple overseas investment firms. According to Forbes, in the year 2022, Adani Group became the second largest cement producer company in the country after buying Indian companies Ambuja Cements and ACC of Swiss company Holcim and this acquisition was done through Vinod Adani’s investment firm for $ 10.5 billion.
The group started with commodity trading
Adani Group, which started its business with commodity trading, is now continuously expanding in ports, airports, power generation, transmission, green energy, FMCG and cement sectors. In the year 2023, American shortseller Hindenburg Research had accused Adani Group of financial irregularities and manipulation of stock prices, after which there was a sharp decline in the prices of listed companies of Adani Group.
