Flipkart Minutes: Quick commerce is considered one of the fastest growing sectors in the country. This is the reason why many big companies have launched their quick commerce services. Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy’s Instamart, Zepto and Tata Digital’s BigBasket are considered big players in this sector. Now to compete with them, Flipkart has launched the Minutes app in the market.
Flipkart Minutes claims delivery in Bengaluru within 8 to 16 minutes
Ecommerce giant Flipkart has been trying to enter the quick commerce segment for a long time. The company had started this service for its employees in Bangalore. Now Flipkart Minutes has started delivering groceries, electronics and other goods in Bellandur and HSR Layout areas of Bangalore. The company claims that it is delivering goods in 8 to 16 minutes. Currently, goods above Rs 99 are being delivered free on Flipkart Minutes. However, a platform fee of Rs 5 is being charged on every order.
The company will start 100 dark stores before the festive season arrives
Earlier it was claimed that Flipkart plans to start 100 dark stores before the festive season arrives. Recently Zomato had said that Blinkit’s business will soon become bigger than theirs. Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa had already expressed apprehension of increasing competition in the quick commerce sector. He had said that many companies are spending a lot on marketing and subsidies.
Flipkart has more than 14 lakh sellers and 50 crore customers
Flipkart currently has more than 14 lakh sellers. Also, 50 crore customers are associated with the company. The company is selling more than 15 crore products in about 80 categories. But, seeing the demand of the customers, they have decided to come into Quick Commerce.
