West Indies Bowler World Record With Bat: The first Test between Pakistan and West Indies was played at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. West Indies had to face defeat by 127 runs in the match. But despite the defeat, the world record was achieved by the West Indies. The bowlers of the team did wonders with the bat and changed the 148 year old history of Test cricket.
The first Test in the history of cricket was played in 1877, since then for the first time such a miracle happened, which the West Indies bowlers did with the bat. In fact, the last three batsmen were the highest run scorers for the team in the first innings. Gudkesh Moti, who came to bat at number 9, scored 19 runs, Jomel Warrican scored 31* (highest runs for the team in the innings) and Jayden Seales, who came at number 11, scored 22 runs.
With these runs, the last three batsmen of any team became the batsmen who scored the most runs for the first time in the history of Test cricket. Apart from this, apart from the last three batsmen of the team, no other player could score more than 11 runs. In the first innings, West Indies lost 8 wickets for 66 runs. But, with the help of the innings of Gudkesh, Warrican and Seals, the team put 137 runs on the board.
However, it is worth noting that all the three batsmen who scored the most runs for West Indies in the first innings were out in the second innings without opening their account.
Pakistan took lead in the series with victory
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has taken a 1-0 lead by winning the first match of the two-match Test series by 127 runs. The second match of the series will be played from January 25, in which Pakistan will look to win the series while West Indies will look to draw the series after winning.
