Fine of Rs 10 Lakh will be imposed every day Action against Tata Projects for Delay in Construction of Noida International Airport

Noida International Airport CEO Arunveer Singh has imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh per day on the construction company for the delay in the construction work of Noida International Airport. He said that the Tata Projects were given a concession agreement for this work on 29 September 2021, but the project started in June 2022 due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Strict action on delay in construction work

According to CEO Arunveer Singh, Tata had to complete the project in three years, whose deadline was 29 September 2024. But in view of the delay, additional discounts from 29 September to 31 December 2024 were given. Despite this, due to non -completion of work, a fine of Rs 10 lakh per day is being imposed from 1 January 2025. The CEO clarified that if the company does not pay the fine on time, it will be compensated with their performance guarantee.

Cargo and domestic terminal work will be completed by 15 May

Arunveer Singh said that the work of the airport has been publicized on 6 March 2025 and the work of cargo and domestic terminal will be completed by 15 May 2025. Progress report will be submitted to the Chief Minister soon and further action will be taken as per his instructions.

Delay due to special design

Regarding the roof design of the airport, he said that this design has been taken from a large international level airport. Most of the work of this design is being done by hand, due to which it is taking extra time. He admitted that the construction company had given the wrong time limit, but now the work of the airport is being expedited. The CEO said that very soon the dream of flying from Noida International Airport will come true and passengers will get an airport with modern facilities.
