Money Rules Changing From 1 August 2024: The month of August is about to begin. With the new month, many financial changes take place, which directly affect the pockets of common people. 1. There may be a change in the prices of LPG cylinders
On the first of every month, oil companies review the prices of commercial and domestic gas cylinders. In July, the government had reduced the prices of cylinders. It is expected that the government may reduce the price of cylinders this month too.
2. Change in HDFC Bank credit card rules
HDFC Bank has announced changes in its credit card rules from August 1. Now, for making payments through HDFC Bank credit card and using third party apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, Freecharge, you will have to pay one percent on the transaction amount. Its limit has been fixed up to Rs 3000. At the same time, you will have to pay one percent service charge on fuel transactions of more than Rs 15000. The rules of Tata New Infinity and Tata New Plus credit cards have also been changed.
3. Google Maps services became cheaper
Google Maps services are going to become cheaper in India. These rules will come into effect on August 1, 2024. Now you will have to pay 70 percent less fee on Google Maps service. Along with this, now you can pay the fee for Google service in rupees instead of dollars.
4. How many days will the banks remain closed
There will be a lot of holidays in banks in August. Banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days in August 2024. This includes holidays from Janmashtami to Independence Day. In such a situation, if you have any important work related to the bank, then go to work only after looking at the list of holidays.
5. Penalty will be levied on filing ITR
The deadline for filing returns for the financial year 2023-24 and assessment year 2024-25 is ending on July 31. In such a situation, if you file the return between August 1 and December 31, you will have to pay a fine ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5000.
