Fateh Review: I knew that he is a hero and will kill, but I had no idea that he would kill like this. Yes, Fateh Singh’s amazing action will not give you a chance to blink even for a minute. Sonu Sood has come to expose cyber crime. You will definitely see action, action and action in Sonu Sood’s Fateh. Also, an attack has been made against cyber criminals with this film. This time Sonu Sood, who looks like Indian John Wick, will have to be praised for his acting, action and direction.
Story
Sonu Sood’s character ‘Fateh Singh’ is a man living a quiet life in Moga, Punjab, whose life takes a terrible turn when he sets out to solve the complications in the life of Nimrit Kaur, a girl from his community. Nimrit Kaur runs a mobile shop and also tries to do one more thing with great passion and that is to save the people of her village from cyber fraud. But unfortunately, a person from the village commits suicide after becoming a victim of cyber crime and Nimrit leaves for Delhi to save the rest of the villagers from falling prey to it.
Nimrit goes missing after coming to Delhi and then Fateh Singh comes to search for her. While searching for Nimrit, Fateh Singh comes to know how badly the network of cyber crime is spread in the country. How people are falling victim to this. Fateh Singh’s war against cyber crime begins from here. The story of the second half of the film is on how Fateh Singh reaches Raj, the main villain of this rapidly spreading fraud.
Moving forward in the story, Fateh Singh’s past life is also shown, how he used to work for the country’s agency and from here you will also get the reference as to how Fateh Singh can fight so well. The story of the film is good, an issue has been highlighted which is really a threat to the people with the increasing technology. Things like cyber fraud, deepfake videos have been shown in it.
how is the movie
Fateh has a story, an issue, a plot and also has tremendous action. The good thing is that the story was not compromised just to highlight the action. There needs to be an issue in the film, which there is. Although the beginning of the story could have been done a little better. How Nimrit’s character is determined to expose cyber crime while living in the village could have been shown in a better way. But if we talk about the action shown in the film, it is quite excellent. Sonu Sood looks absolutely natural while doing action on screen.
Many action sequences and fighting styles may remind you of Hollywood characters John Wick and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The small subtle gags in the film also make you laugh every now and then. There is also Honey Singh’s song ‘Hitman’ at the end of the film for which you can stay in the theater for a little longer. Overall, this film can prove to be a turning point in Sonu Sood’s career.
acting
Sonu Sood is amazing in the role of Fateh Singh. According to the character, his body language and his confidence are quite good. Neither is she over nor is she under. If we talk about Jacqueline Fernandes, she is playing the role of an ethical hacker.
Jacqueline’s acting is average, the surprising thing is that despite working in Hindi cinema for so many years, she could not work on her accent. When a Delhi girl talks in American accent, it may seem strange to you.
There are two big faces in the film – one is Naseeruddin Shah and the other is Vijay Raaz. Less screen time but characters who have made their place. Naseeruddin Shah’s character Raj is the main villain of this story. Vijay Raj’s character works for this. Both the actors fit the story well and impress with their acting.
direction
Sonu Sood has made his directorial debut with Fateh and along with acting, he will win your hearts with his direction as well. In terms of direction, the film looks no less than a Hollywood action film. Although it could have been made more emotionally rich, but if we talk about direction in action sequences, the work is excellent. The long one take action scenes without any cuts will not let your grip weaken.
