EPFO: It is important for you to know this news related to Employee Provident Fund Organization, otherwise you may have to suffer loss. Today is the last date of an important task for the employees who are taking the benefit of Employee Linked Incentive Scheme (ELI) from EPFO. All the employees who have joined EPFO in this financial year i.e. the current financial year, have time till November 30 and today they have to activate their Universal Account Number (UAN) and link Aadhaar with the bank account. . New members of EPFO have only today left to do this work, so complete it immediately.
To activate UAN, you will have to go to EPFO portal and follow some steps.
- First of all, one has to go to EPFO member portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
- Click on Activate UAN under Important Links section.
- Enter your UAN, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth and mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
- Verify through Aadhaar OTP and click on ‘Get Authorization PIN’.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile and submit.
- On successful activation, a password will be sent to your registered mobile number.
The Finance Minister had announced the Employee Linked Incentive Scheme in the budget and divided it into three parts ELI A, ELI B and ELI C. Its aim is to provide financial benefits to the employees. Under this scheme, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the benefit is sent directly to the employee in his Aadhaar linked bank account. This year, the last date for activating the Universal Account Number for new employees and linking it with the Aadhaar linked bank account has been fixed as November 30.
Employers, activate UAN and seed Aadhaar in bank accounts by 30th November 2024 for all new employees.

After successful UAN activation, you can avail many services like updating personal details, viewing EPFO passbook, viewing details related to PF account and submitting online claim for cash withdrawal, advance, or transfer etc.
