Mark Wood made an impact in the very first over. He bowled the first ball to West Indies opener Michael Lewis at a speed of 151.1 kmph. After this, it seemed as if the rain of runs stopped. He continuously bowled fast balls, including a yorker which Lewis could barely play. His average speed in the entire over was more than 151 kmph.

Mark Wood’s dominance continued in the second over as well. He bowled a ball at a speed of 156.26 kmph, which was the fastest over of his career so far. It is worth noting that during the Ashes series last year, he had bowled an over at an average speed of 145 kmph and England was successful in winning that Test.
