Globally Employment for Indian Graduates: The employability of Indian youth is increasing. This was revealed in the India Skills Report released on Tuesday. While last year the employability of Indian graduates was 51.2, it is estimated to reach 55 percent in the year 2025. This means that Indian youth have the ability to contribute better in meeting the needs of the rapidly growing global economy.
Demand for graduates in these subjects will increase across the world
Wheebox was developed by industry body CII in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It was told that in the year 2025, the employability of management graduates (78 percent) is the highest globally. This is followed by engineering (71.5 percent), MCA students (71 percent) and science graduates (58 percent).
Increase in employment rate for men
The report also said that opportunities for employing young talent are increasing in cities like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi, while cities like Pune, Bengaluru and Mumbai are leading in providing skilled workforce.
The report also revealed that the employment rate for men is likely to increase from 51.8 percent to 53.5 percent in the year 2025 as compared to 2024. At the same time, the employment rate for women is expected to decrease from 50.9 percent to 47.5 percent. There is a need to provide quality training to the Indian youth so that they can actively participate in the global economy in the future.
There will be maximum recruitment in these sectors
In another CII report ‘Decoding Jobs-2025’, it was told that there will be more employment opportunities in the financial year 2026. 9.8 percent hiring is expected during this period. Among these, maximum recruitment will be taken in engineering firms, banking and other financial industries (12 percent), core industry is in second place with 11.5 percent and FMCG industry is in third place with 10 percent.
