Ekta Kapoor Alt Balaji Official Statement: A complaint was filed against TV queen Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobhi Kapoor, who is the managing director of Balaji Telefilms, a few days ago under the POCSO Act. Now an official statement has been issued from Ekta Kapoor’s company Alt Balaji regarding this. In the statement, the company has rejected the allegations and has said that it will cooperate with the law in the matter.
The statement reads – ‘Regarding various media reports regarding the web series Gandii Baat, Alt Digital Media Entertainment Limited clarifies that it fully follows all applicable laws including the POCSO Act and the Company does not protect minors. Any reference to engagement is completely false.
Ekta and Shobha Kapoor are also not included in content strategy.
The company has further written – ‘It is further clarified that Mrs. Shobha Kapoor and Ekta R Kapoor are not involved in the day-to-day functioning of the company and it is managed by separate teams, which also includes its content strategy. The company has full faith in the judiciary and is fully cooperating with the authorities in the investigation. Since this matter is in the court, the company refrains from commenting in detail.
Mumbai Police interrogated Ekta and Shobha
Let us tell you that Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor were accused of showing obscene scenes of minors in season 6 of the web series ‘Gandii Baat’ streamed on their OTT platform. After which a complaint was registered against him under the POCSO Act. Mumbai Police has also interrogated him in this matter. According to Mumbai Police, a case has been registered against Balaji Telefilm Limited, Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor at MHB Police Station in Mumbai under Section 295-A of IPC, IT Act and Sections 13 and 15 of POCSO Act.
